HOW TO GET A FILM PERMIT IN LAS VEGAS
To film in Las Vegas, you need a permit from either the City of Las Vegas or Clark
WHICH JURISDICTION DO YOU NEED?County — depending on your shooting location. City of Las Vegas film permits are free, while Clark County permits cost $45. Both require $1 million in general liability insurance and a Hold Harmless Agreement.
Las Vegas is split between two film permitting jurisdictions. Use the Clark County Jurisdiction Locator to determine which applies to your shoot address.
City of Las Vegas: Permit is FREE. Apply by emailing Filming@LasVegasNevada.gov. Processing time is 5-7 business days. Covers downtown Las Vegas and surrounding city limits.
Clark County (Unincorporated): Permit processing fee is $45. Apply online at ClarkCountyNV.gov. Also covers the Las Vegas Strip (shared jurisdiction with hotels/casinos).
North Las Vegas: Permit fee is $40 per calendar month. Contact the NLVPD at least one week before your shoot.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY

FILMING ON THE LAS VEGAS STRIP
The Strip is unique: most sidewalks adjacent to hotels and casinos are private property. A government permit covers public right-of-way only. You must also get written permission directly from each hotel or casino property where you plan to film. Plan ahead — hotel approvals can take 2-4 weeks.
NEVADA FILM OFFICE REGISTRATION
All productions filming in Nevada must register with the Nevada Film Office at NevadaFilm.com. Registration is FREE and unlocks access to the state's film tax incentive program.
